Dr. Asit Misra

I am currently working as an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine (division of Surgery) and as an Assistant Director of Pre Hospital and Emergency Training Division of The Gordon Center for Medical Education & Research. Previously I was an Instructor of Emergency Medicine and Research Scientist at the University of Nebraska Medical Center Omaha. I have completed a medical simulation fellowship training offered by the American College of Surgeons at the OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.

I have graduated from the ACEP teaching fellowship and the ALiEM faculty incubator program in 2018. I am also a faculty member for the Medutopia (a global emergency medicine faculty development course) and the co-founder and vice-president of MedEdGuru (a non-profit organization to promote emergency medicine globally).

My areas of interest are healthcare simulation, medical education, simulation outcomes research and emergency medicine leadership & faculty development.
