Juanita (JJ) Wallace is an Assistant Professor of Health and Exercise Science at Transylvania University in Lexington, KY. For the past 6 years, her research and pedagogical practices have focused on how to incorporate digital technologies, like virtual reality (VR), into the classroom and in research. She has produced 18 scholarly presentations/posters on VR at local, regional and national conferences and hosted a 4 day VR workshop for faculty and staff at her institution. Additionally, her previous work in clinical biomechanics at an orthopedic hospital, where she focused on motion analysis in children and adolescents, have prepared her to discuss inclusion and integration of VR technology into clinical practice and educational institutions preparing students for pre-health careers.
